We just had the CRAZIEST sun shower. I took this from my bedroom window. Unfortunately I do not see any pretty rainbows to shoot. At least it's bringing a nice breeze into the apartment. |

 How is it that my first week of unemployment, I have parked my toosh in front of the computer and I've LOST a couple of pounds? What's up wit dat?? I keep adding more stuff to the shops and I hope I don't burn myself out with ideas. My first show is next month and I want to make sure I have enough inventory. I'm nervous, but excited. It's all coming together too. We're gonna have a website up shortly for Handmade Cavalcade and postcards and fliers are being printed as we speak. Even if I don't end up selling anything, it's gonna be a lot of fun. We're gonna have refreshments and cookies, FREE! Let's see Renegade or Bust do that!! =P |

So...now I'm obsessed over this book, Twilight. I had to go out & buy all 3 of the others as well. Now, I have a new boy to lust after. WONDERFUL. I'm annoyed though..cause the book isn't racy enough for my tastes. They're all touchy feely but not the way I want them to be. Maybe I read too much Anne Rice..but I want them TO DO JUST DO IT ALREADY. I read spoilers for the end of the series. I know what happens. I'm not happy about it...it's...annoying. But whatever. I had no idea the guy who played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter was cast as Edward. I also didn't realize how hot the guy was. He must not have been very good looking in Harry Potter...hmmm. But he's yummy now though. This is YOUR fault, Medea. |

| This really amuses me. Having lived in Northern CA all my life, it weirds me out and bugs the shit out of me when people add "the" before freeway names/numbers. People up here always just say "take 101 south" not "take the 101 south". As soon as I hear "the", I expect to hear "take the 101 south exit" or something along those lines. | ||||||

I'm annoyed with the fact that iTunes sales for The Smashing Pumpkins is now huge for the song The Beginning is the End is the Beginning just because of a stupid movie trailer. I'm annoyed that Billy Corgan now wants to do a music video for this movie. I'm annoyed that he thinks it's totally ok to use an old Smashing Pumpkin song for a video & probably a single to make more money without the express ok of the 2 other original members of the band. I'm annoyed with the fact that James & D'arcy had to SUE Virgin records because they didn't get shit for all the sales & crap from using Smashing Pumpkin material for ringtones & crap. I'm really fucking pissed at people who say, "But James & D'arcy didn't DO anything...BILLY is the one who did EVERYTHING. Billy IS The Smashing Pumpkins." Maybe so..for the actual recordings..but the last concerts I went to, I didn't see Billy playing both guitars, bass & drums. I also see JIMMY getting all these monies as well as Billy, so what's up with that? I also hate the fact that Billy "reunited" the Smashing Pumpkins & are going to release a Gish box set & go on a "Anniversary tour". This is NOT The Smashing Pumpkins. Shut up, and stop trying to milk more money out of the namesake. What..Zwan & your solo project weren't making enough money for you?? FUCK. And if you THINK about disputing any of my statements in a comment, I will find you & gut you. I was obsessed with this band...I LIVED this band...they were literally my whole life at one point..for more than 10 years. I feel very strongly on this. I am done. |

Poll #1231560 Steampunk anyone? Open to: All, detailed results viewable to: All Should I take a crack at making Steampunk pieces? I have been thinking about this for a bit but I'm concerned that it won't exactly go with the "look" of my shop...but so what right? Hmmm... I have some new items that I am dying to add to the shop BUT I just haven't been able to take good pictures of them. See I usually have my "photo sessions" Saturday mornings, on the dining room table next to the window, it's the best lighting. I wasn't able to take any this past Saturday and the weather was CRAPPY Sunday so it was dark and gloomy all day. By the time I get home in the evening the lighting in the apartment is different and it's just not the same. So now you must wait, poor you. Is it cheesy of me to be looking forward to the Olympics? Two words....Men's Swimming. *rowr* |

In an attempt to cheer up a bit, we saw Step Brothers last night. I thought we could use a laugh. It was dumb; I liked it. I really hope that wasn't Will Ferrell's scrotum, though. We've been seeing more movies lately. That's probably because there's nothing else to do in this town. I can't wait to see the Death Race 2000 remake—I would've seen it anyway, but OMG, MUSTANGS! Afterward, we went to IHOP and I had some excellent cheesecake pancakes. And then James realized his wallet had fallen out at the movie theater, but fortunately they had found it. Crisis narrowly averted. He didn't have any cash on him either, which was cool. I got a totally awesome spam mail: "Nazi Toddlers Ruined My Birthday". |

I forgot to mention this, too: at the show there was a couple who looked to be about James's and my ages, respectively. The woman looked kind of hippie-ish and the guy looked like a douchebag. They had a baby that looked like it couldn't have been more than a few months old; she was holding it in her arms and it was incredibly small. It wasn't very warm out (I think it was 57 or so in Berkeley) and it was 11pm. Not to mention the loud-assed music, drunk people spilling beer everywhere, cigarette smoke and POT SMOKE flowing freely through the air. Un-fucking-believable! I understand that parents, especially new parents, need a break every now and then to do "adult" things and unwind. I'm down with that. However, even if you bought the tickets months ago, if you can't find a sitter for your kid, YOU STAY THE FUCK HOME and eat the loss of the ticket money. I realize I know nothing about parenting, but this is a common sense issue. |
